Timeless 70s splendor: The Radiance draws its inspiration from the style-defining designs of the 1970s, a time when clean lines, soft case shapes and refined details defined the image of elegant dress watches. The curved lugs and slender silhouette are reminiscent of the flowing shapes of that era and lend the watch a timeless presence. The dynamic dial also picks up on characteristic design elements of this era: An undulating sunburst finish, divided into finely graduated sectors, creates a fascinating interplay of light and shadow depending on the incidence of light.
A subtle interplay of polished and brushed surfaces lends the watch subtle light reflections and emphasizes the radiance that gives the Radiance its name. The decorated ETA 7001 Top Grade hand-wound movement, which is finished with Côtes de Genève, is visible through the transparent case back. Despite its elegant appearance, the Radiance is robust enough for everyday wear thanks to its water resistance of 10 ATM.

The original Peseux 7001 caliber was introduced in 1971 and is a perfect match for the Radiance. It was an ultra-thin movement with a height of only about 2.5 mm, which made it ideal for elegant dress watches. It quickly became appreciated for its reliability, fine regulation capabilities and classic construction.
In 1985, Peseux SA was acquired by ETA, part of the Swatch Group. The Peseux 7001 was then integrated into the ETA program and has been marketed under the name ETA 7001 ever since. Despite the new name, the movement remained essentially unchanged - which also speaks for its outstanding design.
Today, it is one of the last remaining flat hand-wound movements on the market that is available in large quantities.
